I have been watching the EU referendum campaign over the
last couple of months with interest.
I set up this blog to try and give a nonbiased view on the EU
referendum, and to involve more people with disabilities. With one day to go
before voting, I think it will be a good chance to give my view point and how I
will be voting.
So here it goes ………….
immigration
On immigration. I think immigration does a lot for this country.
Most of are NHS workers are migrants, and this rubbish the leave campaign is
putting out about the NHS at braking point, because of the influx of migrant patients,
is wrong and nasty. I Donte believe immigration will destroy are NHS, a British
exit from the EU will destroy the NHS. I believe the leave campaign especially
UKIP, have baste all their hopes on playing on the general public’s fear of the
influx of immigration is nasty politics.
The economy
The economy issue, to me it’s quite important. We already
have the single market, that is trade throughout the EU without any tariffs. Also
most jobs are linked to trading with the EU. Of course it will be good to trade elsewhere
and get more free trade agreements, but I don’t think we will be able to get an
as good deal, if any outside the EU. (Why
give up the deal we already have??)
As a country
I believe, even if we leave the EU we will lose sovereignty.
Sooner or later we may make a new deal elsewhere to stable the economy, that
may demand much more from the UK. Also I
believe if we come out the EU, the government will become harsher and make more
cuts, to vital services just to balance the books. I believe if we stay in the
EU, we will have more of an influent on important issues
on the world stage
In my opinion.
The leave campaign ran its own project fear, by playing on people’s
fear of immigration and the destroying NHS. Also I believe the leave campaign
saying that turkey is going to join the EU imminently, is the biggest red herring
(sideshow) going. It’s just to draw people away from the issue that the leave campaign,
has no real idea of what will happen if we do come out. I think staying in the EU will be better for jobs, the NHS, the economy and we
will be a better outward facing country, who can make a real difference on the
world stage, as part of the EU. So I will be voting to remain.
